Salmon Habitat and Population Restoration

Close Side Trails

Trails that go off of the established route (side trails) aid soil erosion and native plant destruction; therefore, it is important that we keep the number of side trails to a minimum. In an effort to accomplish this, we have been planting Black Hawthorn, Nootka Rose, and other vegetation to cover up some of the small side trails. As well as plantings in the upper Gulch area, we plan on installing split-rail fencing to close off some other side trails.
