Amphibians are very sensitive to habitat degradation and their
survival is a good indicator of the soil and water quality of an
area. PCRS plans to incorporate an amphibian study to document
the species, numbers, and locations of amphibians in the Puget
Creek Watershed, using amphibian drop traps. This project should
be conducted in the springtime when amphibians start to emerge
and travel. And of course, anything caught will be unharmed and
released immediately.
